DPEA Tours for Interested 8th Graders and Their Families

DPEA Tours for Interested 8th Graders and Their Families

Come tour the Engineering Academy and receive new, up-to-date information about enrollment for the Class of 2017!

Are you an eighth grade student who is considering attending or transferring to Dos Pueblos High School in order to be eligible to apply to the Engineering Academy? If so, this is a good time for you (and your parents) to check out the Engineering Academy firsthand.

Tour opportunities for 8th graders and their families:
1. Tuesday, January 29th from 7-9 pm
2. Thursday, January 31st from 7-9 pm
3. Thursday, February 7th from 7-9 pm

Members of the DPEA staff and student body are offering tours of the new Engineering facility in the coming weeks that you can attend to get your questions answered. You will be able to see seniors working with their mentors to design their robot for this year’s FIRST challenge, Ultimate Ascent, and underclassmen will show you around the facility and explain what being a student in the DPEA is really like.

Please note that DPHS is also having its annual Open House on Thursday, January 24th starting at 6:30 pm. Engineering Academy students will be on hand at that event to answer questions as well. However, please note that the Engineering Academy building will not be open for tours during the Open House on January 24th.

There is no need to RSVP for these tours.  Come as you are, and bring your questions.

Bilingual students will be available to speak with students and families in Spanish.

Other tour opportunities:

1. Another tour opportunity for interested 8th graders and their families will be offered in the first week of May before DPEA applications are due.

2.  If you are not currently an 8th grader, but are interested in touring the DPEA, please come to our Community Open House on Saturday, May 25th at 3:00 pm.
